I’ve been fascinated with Egypt since I can remember. One of the greatest and most powerful ancient, mesmerizing civilizations that has existed and created, so many thousands of years ago, has called to me in my dreams. Egypt is more than the majestic, iconic pyramids that we have all over the world, grown to wonder and awe about. This place is literally a live archeological site. The country is littered with broken pottery pieces that are easily over thousands of years old! People are still digging in the desert to uncover tombs filled with ancient tales, gold, and treasure. But yes, imagine yourself standing and gazing at those incredible, giant pyramids, the gorgeous, elegant, great Spihnx. Then while you are at it, imagine hidden chambers of glorious colored paintings and heiroglyphs reflecting the afterlife in the Valley of the kings, queens, and workers, giant stone temples throughout the country, you floating on a felucca (traditional boat) down the Nile, and meeting the warmest, most wonderful, Egyptian people. Egypt is a wonderful tale that reads like an enchanting book one town to the next. Did I mention the tent market in Cairo where you too can purchase a giant, beautiful canvas tent and somehow get it on the plane to home (yes we did pull it off…)? There is no better way to begin your adventure than in Cairo, and honestly there is no better, more luxurious bed in town than the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza.

ROOM CHECK
1. midnight munchies:
This hotel will cater to anything and everything you may need during your stay including a midnight munchie. They will even order you local Egyptian yummies and have it delivered right to your room. But let’s be honest, after gorging on all the delicious food they have to offer all day, where’s the room for one more bite? I recommend indulging in a relaxing bubble bath in the marble tub at midnight instead.
2. roomy:
There are not many places in the world where you can stay in such roomy, luxurious suites at such an affordable price. This is the time to really spread out.
3. extra fluff:
These king size beds have a perfect mattress and soft, high thread count sheets. Not to mention, great pillows and a cozy comforter! Always a difficult find even in some of the best hotels. I slept like a princess.
